James Rubin is one of the most popular and richest Journalist who was born on March 28, 1960 in Larchmont, New York, United States. Rubin was born March 28, 1960 to a Jewish family in New York City. He was raised in Larchmont in Westchester County. Harvey Rubin is his father and the President of Pindar Press. His wife, Judith (nee Lowe), trained students in psychiatry.
Rubin was at that time a spokesperson for the US State Department. He married Christiane Amanpour in 1998, the Chief International Correspondent of CNN. After moving to London, England in 1998, Rubin and Christiane Amanpour returned to New York City in 2010. They rented an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. He, his wife, and their son Darius John Rubin (born in 2000) moved back to London in 2013 to settle down permanently. In July 2018, it was announced that Rubin and Amanpour were divorcing.

James Phillip “Jamie” Rubin, born March 28, 1960, is an American diplomat and journalist. He was U.S. Assistant Secretary for State for Public Affairs during the Clinton Administration (1997)-2000. He was a regular contributor to The Sunday Times of London’s foreign affairs section and is currently the Chair, International Policy and Strategy of Ballard Partners, Washington DC. He is also a Contributing editor at Politico and writes about U.S. foreign policies and global affairs.
Rubin was educated at Phillips Exeter Academy, a boarding university-preparatory independent school in the town of Exeter, New Hampshire, from which he graduated in 1977, followed by Columbia College at Columbia University, from which he graduated with a BA in political science in 1982, and a Master of International Affairs (MIA) in 1984 from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs. Rubin studied under Zalmay Khalilzad at Columbia. He was later appointed U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Middle East. Under President George W. Bush, Rubin was Ambassador to Afghanistan, Iraq, and the United Nations. Rubin was also a graduate of Boston University in Massachusetts.
After leaving government, Rubin and his family relocated to London. He took on a portfolio career, becoming: a Visiting Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics; a partner at communications consultancy Brunswick; and between 2002 and 2003, the host of PBS’s Wide Angle series, a weekly international affairs program.

Rubin joined Bloomberg News in December 2010 and oversees editorial issues of Bloomberg News in Central and South America, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He also led Bloomberg View, a Bloomberg op-ed project, with David Shipley. After only 10 months he quit the position, appointed adjunct professor at Columbia University. Gov.
